Lalan Middle East, a subsidiary of Lalan Group, is planning to establish a glove facility at Sohar Free Zone in Muscat. This state-of-the-art establishment will cover an area of 5000 sqm and will house a surgical and medical Glove plant, equipped with an ETO sterilization facility and a certified microbiology lab.
The opening of this facility is expected to create more than 100 job opportunities, with an impressive 45 percent Omanization rate, contributing to the local economy.
During the event, a Sales and Distribution Agreement was formalized between Lalan Middle East and Muscat Pharmacy, marking a significant milestone in their partnership. Lalith Hapangama, Chairman of Lalan Group, and Bakul Metha, Chairman of Muscat Pharmacy, signed the agreement, symbolizing the strengthening of their strategic alliance.
This collaboration aims to enhance the distribution network for Lalan's locally produced medical gloves not only in the Sultanate of Oman but also in other regions. The choice of Oman as the regional hub was based on its strategic location, stability, and the warm reception from the Omani people. Lalan Group envisions expanding its operations in the Sultanate and establishing a robust supply network across the GCC, North African region, and the USA, leveraging Oman's FDA association.
Overall, the establishment of this glove facility and the partnership between Lalan Middle East and Muscat Pharmacy signify a commitment to growth, innovation, and the provision of high-quality medical gloves in the region.
