Masirah Gazelle Spotted In National Biodiversity Survey

Muscat: The field team involved in the National Biodiversity Survey Project has recently documented the sighting of the Masirah gazelle on Masirah Island, located in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. This sighting serves as a positive sign of the stability of this distinctive species, which is a vital part of the island's wildlife.

The observation, which features a collection of images taken by camera traps utilized in the project, validates the initiatives undertaken by the Environment Authority and its collaborators to safeguard wildlife and preserve biodiversity within the Sultanate of Oman.

The project incorporates advanced satellite-based technologies for monitoring and tracking wildlife, alongside the use of camera traps to record species in their natural environments.
