Muscat: On Sunday, the Ministry of Labour hosted a symposium focused on resolving labour disputes. The event brought together business owners, workers, judges, and lawyers.
During the symposium, participants discussed the challenges faced by employers and explored new methods for settling labour disputes in accordance with the Omani Labour Law, which was established through Royal Decree No. 53/2023.
Various working papers were presented, highlighting the role of amicable settlement committees in resolving labour disputes. Additionally, the importance of arbitration as a means of settling disputes, as outlined in the Omani Labour Law, was emphasized.
Sheikh Nasr Amer Al Hosni, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, was also in attendance at the symposium.
