Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, through the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will take part in the International Tourism Exchange Berlin 2025, scheduled for Tuesday in the German capital.
This event is recognized as one of the largest international tourism fairs, serving as a vital platform for sharing experiences and advancements within the tourism sector, and will span several days.
Oman's participation underscores its commitment to advancing the tourism industry and solidifying its status as a premier global destination. It presents an opportunity to showcase the diverse tourism offerings, products, services, and experiences that Oman has to offer, while also aiming to attract more visitors from European markets and promote investment opportunities within the tourism sector, as well as to establish partnerships and agreements related to tourism.
This year's exhibition will feature 55 tourism and hospitality entities from Oman, alongside four strategic partners: Oman Air, Oman Airports, Omran Group, and the national travel operator "Visit Oman."
Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized that participation in this exhibition will bolster Oman's visibility on the global tourism map, highlight the investment opportunities and significant tourism potential available in the Sultanate, and seek new avenues for collaboration with Germany and other participating nations.
He noted that investing in Oman's tourism sector offers a promising future, supported by the incentives and competitive advantages that the government extends to investors in this domain.
He emphasized that the involvement signifies the Sultanate of Oman's dedication to broadening its international visitor base, while simultaneously diversifying its tourism offerings and boosting economic activity through investments in the tourism sector. He highlighted the Sultanate of Oman's strategic location, breathtaking natural scenery, and rich cultural heritage, asserting that it is an exceptional destination for travelers seeking distinctive experiences.
Additionally, the ITB Berlin 2025 exhibition is set to encompass a diverse array of interests, featuring numerous conferences and discussion panels that will explore the latest advancements in the global tourism industry. Topics will include digital innovations, sustainable tourism practices, and enhanced travel experiences, with a particular emphasis on future trends and the utilization of modern marketing tools such as artificial intelligence.
