Innovations Of 3 Omani Youth Shortlisted For ITEX Malaysia 2024

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has announced the finalists who will represent the Sultanate of Oman at the 35th international competition and exhibition in Malaysia (ITEX 2024). The event, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur from 16 to 18 May 2024, will showcase the latest inventions, innovations, and technologies.

Imad Abdullah Bait Obaydoun secured the first place with his innovative project titled "water treatment using the electrochemical method." Mazin Rashid Al Badi claimed the second place with his invention called "Doctor Robot," while Tasnim Mohammed Al Daoudi won the third place for her innovation named "Dilution of heavy oil using hydrogen injection technology."

Nisreen Yahya Al Balushi, Assistant Director of the Department of Research and Innovation Capacity Building, emphasized that ITEX is an exceptional platform for inventions and innovations. She highlighted that the exhibition attracts participants from over 20 countries in Asia and Europe, making it an international hub for exploring and showcasing more than 1,000 inventions across various categories.
