Information Ministry’s Pavilion At Muscat Book Fair Energetic In Showcasing Media Roles

The Ministry of Information's pavilion at Muscat International Book Fair is actively involved in educating visitors about the Ministry's roles and responsibilities in serving the media sector.

The pavilion operates through four main sections: the Oman News Agency section (ONA), the Directorate General of Publications and Artistic Works section, the Directorate General of Electronic Media section (which includes the Ayn platform and media portal), and the Nizwa Magazine section.

The ONA section showcases the agency's photographic archives that depict the development story of the Sultanate of Oman. It features interactive screens and picture panels that showcase the progress made by Oman over the years.

The Publications and Artistic Works section displays the Ministry's publications, as well as publications supported by the Ministry of Information. It also showcases the Ministry's latest publications.

The Ayn Platform section showcases Omani electronic books, with 39 currently available on its website. This section also offers visual, audio, and written content that encourages visitors to explore the audio versions of Omani books.

The fourth section of the Ministry's pavilion is dedicated to Nizwa Magazine, particularly in celebration of its 30th anniversary. This section presents various editions of the magazine and a short film review highlighting its three-decade journey.
