A total of 3543 applicants have been assigned seats in the seven Indian Schools in Muscat through a computer-generated draw that took place on 3rd March 2024 at Indian Schools Muscat. The draw was overseen by Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools Oman.

In attendance at the draw were Mr. Shameer PTK, Vice Chairman, Mr. Vijay Saravanan, and Mr. Ambalavanan, Members of the Board, as well as Mr. Vinoba M.P., Senior Principal and Education Advisor. The Principals of the Indian Schools in the capital area were also present.

Dr. Sivakumar Manickam highlighted that the centralized admission system with online registration, introduced by the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, has streamlined the admission process, making it easier for parents and schools to manage the rush for admissions.

The number of new applications received for each class are as follows: KG1 (1402), KG2 (458), Class 1 (594), Class 2 (191), Class 3 (192), Class 4 (152), Class 5 (135), Class 6 (126), Class 7 (98), Class 8 (103), and Class 9 (92). On average, approximately 72% of applicants received their first choice of school.

Schools will communicate the admission date and required documents to parents. Admissions to different classes will be conducted in phases by the schools to facilitate parents.

Online registration will reopen on 18th March, allowing parents to register online. Updated vacancies will also be posted on the website to assist parents in selecting a school based on seat availability.
