HM The Sultan, Turkish President Hold Talks Session

Ankara: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkiye convened for an official discussion at the Presidential Complex in Ankara today. 

During their meeting, the leaders explored ways to enhance their historically friendly relations and various areas of cooperation and investment that would benefit both nations and fulfill their mutual aspirations. They also shared perspectives on a range of regional and international political developments.

The Omani delegation included HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Saif bin Rashid Al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Turkiye.

On the Turkish side, the meeting was attended by Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance; Yaşar Güler, Minister of Defence; Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Industry and Technology; Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade; Mehmet Hakimoğlu, Ambassador of Turkiye to the Sultanate of Oman; Fahrettin Altun, Head of Communications of the Presidency; along with several other Turkish officials.
