Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has granted a special pardon to over 170 individuals serving time in various correctional facilities on the day of the Prophet's birth.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) reported: "His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has extended a special royal pardon to a group of 175 inmates, encompassing both Omani citizens and foreigners, who were convicted in a multitude of cases. This act of clemency was undertaken in honor of the Prophet's birth on the 14th of the Islamic calendar year, 1446 AH, and with the consideration of their families."
