Muscat: On Sunday, the Ministry of Health marked the completion of the second and third Health Assistants Program cohorts.
The program supports the Health Ministry's aim of consolidating the national health workforce and achieving Oman Vision 2040 objectives for the health sector.
The program's goal is to increase the health sector's competence and allow them to market healthcare services in Oman.
More than 100 male and female participants graduated from the second and third rounds of the Health Assistants Programme.
The programme is a part of national efforts coordinated by the Ministry of Health to fulfill the health system's demand for technical support staff.
The three-month curriculum includes knowledge development, basic nursing skills, first aid, patient care, and medical device handling, as well as practical training at primary and secondary healthcare facilities.
The graduation event was hosted under the patronage of Dr. Badria Mohsen Al Rashdi, Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, and attended by department heads, program supervisors, and health and training staff.
