Governorate Of Al Dakhiliyah Offers Investment Opportunities Worth OMR61.4mn

Nizwa: The Department of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion within the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah has received a total of 1,410 applications for the registration of new commercial entities during the initial six months of the current fiscal year. Concurrently, there have been 575 transactions involving certificates of origin.

Hilal bin Bader Al Rashidi, the Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, disclosed that there are eleven investment opportunities, valued at Omani Rials 61.4 million, across various sectors including commerce, industry, and food security. These opportunities have been extended across the Governorate's various administrative divisions.

He further elaborated that these investment projects encompass a diverse range of ventures, including the construction of facilities for power connectors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning plants, meat processing units, ceramic manufacturing facilities, barricade production units, condensed milk production facilities, dairy products and juice processing units, and date packing facilities, among others.

Mr. Al Rashidi highlighted that the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah is home to several industrial cities, each capable of accommodating a variety of investment projects.

He also reported that during the initial six months of the year, there has been a significant increase in the processing of applications for industrial licenses, with 110 applications processed, 87 applications from foreign investors, and a total of 674 applications received.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Nizwa Industrial City and Sumail Industrial City have seen a notable rise in the number of local projects, with 173 projects identified in Nizwa Industrial City, valued at Omani Rials 473 million, and 160 projects identified in Sumail Industrial City, valued at Omani Rials 160 million.
