Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, conducted a video conference on Thursday with Dr. Amer Bisat, Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade.
The summit emphasized enhancing economic and investment ties, as well as seeking new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. Both ministers explored possibilities for cooperation in a number of important areas, including increasing investments, developing businesses, and utilizing their strategic positions through the logistics sector.
They also examined the viability of opening a direct flight route between Muscat and Beirut, which would benefit tourist and commerce relations. The meeting also addressed a proposal to hold an Omani-Lebanese economic forum with an exhibition of Lebanese businesses.
Both parties underlined the need for increasing economic engagement to wider levels and working together to create strategic alliances that will promote sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Oman's ambassador to Lebanon, as well as several officials from both nations.
