Salalah: The "Govern It Smartly" Hackathon, organized by the State Audit Institution in collaboration with Dhofar Municipality, commenced today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
This two-day event has garnered significant participation from Omani youth and professionals eager to create digital solutions aimed at improving governance and transparency.
The hackathon's objective is to foster decentralized governance in alignment with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 by encouraging a culture of integrity and accountability. The winning projects will be developed into actionable initiatives that contribute to local development and enhance Oman’s international reputation in governance, local administration, and community engagement.
