Oman's Foreign Minister, Japanese Counterpart Hold Bilateral Meeting

Kuwait: On Monday, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, conducted a bilateral meeting with Takeshi Iwaya, Japan's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This meeting occurred during the second joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue involving the GCC Foreign Ministers and the Japanese Foreign Minister.

During their discussions, both parties explored various aspects of bilateral cooperation between their two friendly nations and identified ways to strengthen it across multiple sectors, particularly in economic, trade, and investment areas, to enhance the existing partnership and serve the mutual interests of both countries.

They reaffirmed their collective position on the necessity of achieving a permanent and equitable resolution to the Palestinian issue, addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and endorsing the two-state solution in line with relevant international resolutions. They emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and ensuring civilian protection.

Additionally, the two ministers shared perspectives on several regional and international matters of common interest and reiterated their dedication to maintaining coordination and supporting all efforts aimed at bolstering regional security and stability.

The meeting was attended by officials from both sides.
