Al Buraimi: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has introduced 12 investment opportunities in Al Buraimi Governorate via the "Tatweer" platform, covering a total area of 287.9 acres.
These opportunities encompass the cultivation and production of various crops utilizing modern technologies, livestock breeding, and fish farming initiatives, as well as the use of model farms.
Agricultural prospects include vegetable cultivation in both open fields and greenhouses, date palm farming, garlic production, and yellow corn cultivation, along with camel breeding and fodder production in the wilayats of Al Buraimi, Mahda, and Al Sunainah. The project areas vary from 0.7 to 74.3 acres each.
Opportunities in the livestock sector involve setting up a veterinary clinic and a project for red meat production from both local and imported breeds (goats and sheep) using advanced technologies, in addition to cattle and poultry farming projects. There are also specialized initiatives such as water bottling and the creation of a modern agricultural nursery.
These initiatives are designed to bolster food security, promote agricultural investment, and generate added value that aids in diversifying income sources and enhancing the efficiency of agricultural land use in Al Buraimi Governorate.
This year, the total number of investment opportunities launched in the agricultural and water sectors throughout the governorate has reached 54.
