The identity of the man, believed to be the pilot, has not yet been confirmed.
Germany's DPA news agency reported that a police spokesperson indicated the aircraft was a single-engine propeller plane.
A police helicopter was deployed to capture images of the crash site.
The investigation into the incident is being conducted by Germany's federal agency for flight accidents (BFU), which is expected to release a report after several months, as stated by police.
Multiple eyewitnesses witnessed the crash and received assistance from rescue personnel at the scene.
Following the incident, police established a perimeter around the garden area.
