Muscat: Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al-Shaibani, the Minister of Education for the Sultanate of Oman, has revealed the overall indicators for the first semester examination results pertaining to the General Education Diploma and its equivalents for the academic year 2024/2025. The results indicate a pass rate of 80.76% for the standard General Education Diploma, with participation from 54,943 students. Other categories have shown even higher pass rates, including 91.05% for private bilingual schools, 100% for the Sultan's Armed Forces Technical College and Islamic Studies, 88.52% for Special Education, and 99.27% for Vocational and Technical diplomas.
Students will be able to view their results starting at 4 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025, through text message services offered by Omantel, Ooredoo, and Vodafone by sending their candidate numbers to 90200. The results will also be accessible on Oman’s educational portal. The Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the integrity of the examination process, which took place at 366 centers across Oman in a calm and supportive environment. However, 20 instances of examination regulation breaches were identified, prompting the ministry to implement necessary actions in line with existing regulations, including thorough investigations to ensure fairness before imposing appropriate penalties.
Students interested in requesting re-evaluations of their examination papers can do so via Oman’s educational portal under the “Examination Results Review for Year 12” link, from March 9 to March 16, 2024. The ministry has stated that no applications will be accepted after this period and has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of all students.
