Muscat: Today, the 10th GCC Conference on Occupational Health and Safety commenced in Muscat, with the theme of "Promoting Wellbeing and Optimal Health in the Workplace".
Under the patronage of HH Sayyid Faris Fatik Al Said, the Ministry of Labour organized this two-day conference. Its primary objective is to highlight the importance of prioritizing both physical and mental health in the workplace. Furthermore, it aims to explore the extent to which occupational health impacts success and productivity.
This conference provides a valuable platform for participants to exchange knowledge and expertise with specialists in the fields of mental health, occupational safety, and employee wellbeing. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness about mental health issues in the workplace.
Over the course of 14 sessions, the conference will review research papers on current global trends in promoting employee wellbeing. These papers will cover topics such as optimal health measures, the influence of emotional intelligence on mental health, and the role of innovation and technology in enhancing wellbeing at work. Furthermore, they will address occupational health in the digital age and examine successful experiences from both local and international arenas.
The conference places a strong emphasis on establishing a healthy and supportive work environment, as well as the role of information technology in developing programs that promote this theme.
This event is specifically targeted towards executive managers, directors-general, operation supervisors, and all other personnel responsible for occupational health and safety.
