The University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah has officially launched its annual summer program, titled "Summer of the Future," which is administered by the Department of Continuing Education and Community Service. This effort exemplifies the university's commitment to linking education with real-world experiences, as well as its community role in developing an innovative knowledge society.
The program seeks to make effective use of the summer vacation by providing a broad variety of interactive workshops and training sessions intended to broaden participants' knowledge and skills in areas such as technology, science, innovation, critical thinking, grammar, leadership, entrepreneurship, and languages.
With approximately 45 training programs offered by a team of academic and industry specialists, the initiative aims at the university community, public and private sector workers, and the broader public looking for personal and professional growth.
Dr. Khalifa Salim AlHatmi, Head of the Department of Continuing Education and Community Service, highlighted the university's ongoing efforts to fulfill its social responsibility and community engagement.
"We're thrilled to launch the 'Summer of the Future' program, which runs until mid-August 2025. " It is designed for students, graduates, employees, and anybody wishing to improve their abilities and discover new avenues for personal and professional development,” he added.
Nearly 100 participants attended workshops on Beginner English Skills and a specialized IELTS preparation course, which included active participation on the opening day. Participants in the IELTS preparation course were divided into two groups based on their proficiency levels to ensure effective, needs-based learning.
“Summer of the Future” is one of the university's top yearly initiatives, demonstrating its commitment to empowering the community through education, encouraging innovation, and providing a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
