Carrisaa Bopanna, a former student of Indian School Ghubra (ISG), recently won the title of Miss Teen Universe India at the 2024 edition of Miss Teen Diva in Jaipur, India. The event, which featured participants from all over the country, showcased Carrisaa and three others who were crowned, each displaying grace and elegance on the runway.
Kaziah Mejo, Tanishqa Sharma, and Kavin Rao also joined Carrisaa in the winner's circle.
Carrisaa will be representing India at Miss Teen Universe, while Kaziah, Tanishqa, and Kavin will represent the country in Miss Teen International, Miss Teen Earth, and Miss Teen Grand, respectively.
The beauty pageant was organized by Glamanand International India, which selects representatives to compete in various international pageants, including Miss Universe.
Before the top 15 out of 29 participants were selected, the event included a talent round, a makeup session, gala dinner, and sashing ceremony.
Carrisaa expressed her gratitude to her parents and ISG teachers for their support and guidance, acknowledging her journey from Oman to the pinnacle of India's beauty pageant world.
Currently studying fashion design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Bengaluru, Carrisaa plans to use her platform to advocate for social causes, especially education and the empowerment of young girls.
In a statement to Times of Oman, she mentioned, "I am deeply thankful to my family, mentors, and supporters for their continuous encouragement and belief in my capabilities."
Carrisaa, in addition to her passion for fashion, is dedicated to raising awareness about menstrual health and hygiene. She expressed her intention to educate women and young girls on this topic through various initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and outreach programs.
Looking forward, Carrisaa is excited about the opportunity to represent India on the international stage at the upcoming Miss Teen Universe pageant.
