Muscat: The Ministry of Finance has issued a directive to all the State's Administrative Apparatus institutions, mandating the preparation of the Final Accounts Report for the Fiscal Year 2024 and submission thereof by February 20, 2025.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of highlighting the results and objectives achieved by each unit/institution in the execution of its approved budget. The report is required to include a comparison between the unit's approved revenues and expenditures with the actual figures. Furthermore, the report must detail the cash and banking balances of the government unit, as well as information on permanent and temporary advance payments, as well as financial obligations owed by the government to external parties.
Additionally, the Ministry has requested that all institutions of the State's Administrative Apparatus compile statements regarding the non-financial assets of real estate and land, warehouse assets, government movables, and libraries affiliated with the government units. It has also directed all institutions to submit copies of the reports prepared by their respective internal audit departments for the last quarter of the Fiscal Year 2024.
