Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) has reported that the environmental conditions in the Sultanate of Oman are stable, with no indications of increased radiation levels or unusual environmental effects detected so far.
The EA stated that it is closely watching recent events concerning the targeting of nuclear facilities in the area, given the continuing escalation and potential cross-border environmental effects.
The EA has verified that it works as part of an integrated national system, cooperating with the appropriate authorities to monitor environmental and radiation data in real time. This is done via the radiation monitoring and early warning system installed throughout the Sultanate of Oman's numerous governorates, as well as continual connections with relevant regional and international centers.
According to the Environmental Authority (EA), its monitoring and follow-up activities are ongoing around the clock as part of its mission to protect the environment and safeguard the safety of people and natural resources in Oman.
