Emergency Surgery Of A Three-year-old Conducted

A specialized team at the Surgery Department of Al Rustaq Hospital in South Al Batinah Governorate successfully performed an emergency surgery on a three-year-old child.

Dr. Redha Abdulfatah, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Al Rustaq Hospital, mentioned that the young boy was admitted to the hospital due to a tumor in the lower abdomen causing persistent pain.

Upon further evaluation, it was discovered that the child had a severe strangulated hernia of the intestine, necessitating immediate surgical intervention to prevent intestinal damage. Dr. Abdulfatah emphasized the importance of parents being vigilant and seeking advice from specialized medical professionals if they observe any tumors or abdominal pain in their young children, especially those under one year of age.
