Embassy Of Nepal, Muscat Hosts Event To Mark ‘Everest Day’

Muscat: On the occasion of International Sagarmatha Day (Everest Day), the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized a special event focused on tourism, investment, and export promotion. The event, held on 29 May, 2024 at Nepal House, aimed to explore opportunities in these sectors for both Nepal and Oman.

The event saw the participation of over 30 distinguished guests, including prominent businesspersons, CEOs, media professionals, social media influencers, airline representatives, and bank officials.

During his speech at the event, Ambassador Dornath Aryal discussed the government's policies to boost the export of Nepali products, attract foreign investment for ongoing mega projects, and expand Nepal's trade partnerships in goods and services.

Ambassador Aryal also highlighted the diverse range of tourism activities in Nepal, catering to individuals of all age groups. From cultural and religious tourism to thrilling adventure experiences and serene natural beauty, Nepal offers something for everyone.

Furthermore, Ambassador Aryal invited all the guests to visit Nepal and witness its breathtaking nature firsthand. He also encouraged them to explore the trade and investment opportunities available, considering Nepal's strategic location and favorable policies.

Ambassador Aryal updated the attendees on the successful conclusion of Nepal Investment Summit 2024 and its accomplishments. He mentioned that Nepal presented 152 ready-to-go projects, with over 2,400 participants, including 800 international delegates from 50 countries in attendance.

Nadira Al Harathi, the first female Everest climber from Oman, shared her inspiring journey from Oman to conquering Mount Everest. The event also featured captivating images and videos of the Omani Climbers' expedition to the summit.

Sulaiman Hamoud Mahfodh Al Naabi, another Everest climber from Oman, presented stunning visuals of his expedition, which were showcased as well. Ambassador Aryal and Madam Swodesh Aryal honored the Everest Climbers with metal plaques and Pasmina shawls.

A promotional video highlighting Nepal's tourism was screened for the guests to appreciate the country's beauty. Fathiya Al Jadzali expressed how her visit to Nepal had a profound impact on her life, encouraging others to experience the purest form of nature by visiting Nepal.

Sharing her adventures of trekking to seven base camps in various Himalayan regions of Nepal, she recommended trekking in Nepal to all attendees.

The event concluded with a dinner, with Bishesh Kumar Sah, Second Secretary of the Embassy, overseeing the program.
