Dassault Aviation To Launch MRO Subsidiary In India To Boost Military Support

Saint-Cloud, France - Dassault Aviation, a leading French aerospace company, has announced its decision to establish a subsidiary entity, Dassault Aviation MRO India (DAMROI), with a focus on military maintenance, repair, and overall maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

In a press release dated September 25, the company highlighted that the establishment of DAMROI is in alignment with India's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" policy, underscoring its commitment to fostering self-reliance and promoting indigenous value-added services.

"Dassault Aviation has resolved to form a company dedicated exclusively to the maintenance, repair, and overall MRO of its military operations. This entity, Dassault Aviation MRO India (DAMROI), which has been incorporated in India and is situated in Noida (Uttar Pradesh), serves as a subsidiary of Dassault Aviation," the announcement detailed.

"Under the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" policy, DAMROI is set to leverage Dassault Aviation's technological prowess, aiming to enhance cooperation and collaboration. Its objective is to evolve into a pivotal participant in the development of a comprehensive aerospace defense ecosystem within India," it further elaborated.

The company emphasized its dedication to addressing the requirements of the Indian Air Force, pledging to provide customized products and services to support the Mirage 2000 fleet and the fighter aircraft supplied by Dassault Aviation in India, ensuring optimal responsiveness and efficiency in meeting its needs.

"It is committed to fulfilling the needs of the Indian Air Force by offering customized products and services to support its Mirage 2000 fleet and, more broadly, the fighter aircraft supplied by Dassault Aviation in India, thereby ensuring the highest level of responsiveness and efficiency in meeting its requirements," the company stated.

The announcement highlighted Dassault Aviation's strategic move to deepen its presence in India, contributing significantly to the nation's ambition to become an international aerospace supplier under the "Make in India" policy and to fully commit to the "Skill India" initiative through the implementation of training and education programs, aiming at success and contributing to India's strategic vision for its future.

The French corporation has successfully delivered over 10,000 military and civil aircraft, encompassing 2,700 Falcons, to over 90 nations throughout the past century. This has established a reputation globally for its proficiency in the design, development, sale, and support of various aircraft models, from the Rafale fighter jet to the premium Falcon family of business jets, military drones, and space systems. In the year 2023, Dassault Aviation reported a revenue of Euro 4.8 billion.
