Dar Al Atta’a Initiative Raises Over OMR70,000

Muscat: On the 28th of October, the 8th edition of Al Atta Giving Greater Competition was concluded at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel, under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sayyid Fahr bin Fatik bin Fahr Al Said. This event took place on a Monday.

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences - Nizwa's Team Tablil emerged victorious, securing the highest revenues in the competition. Meanwhile, the team prize awarded to the team demonstrating the most significant influence on society was presented to Teams Ihya’a and Ma’ad from the same institution.

The award for the most creative team was bestowed upon Team Bani Al Khair from Muscat College, while Team Thara from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) was recognized as the most professional team.

The competition also honored Team Kahatin from the Modern College of Business and Science with the exceptional prize, and Dar Al Atta'a extended its recognition to Hamad bin Saud Al Busaidi from Team Ghouth and Tamima bint Ali Al Nasseri from Team Burwaz for their outstanding contributions to their respective teams.

The 8th edition of Al Atta Giving Greater Competition successfully raised over OMR70,000. This initiative, initiated by Dar Al Atta'a in 2012, focuses on the development and execution of ideas for projects aimed at collecting donations in support of Dar Al Atta'a's programs, including the formation of teams from various universities and colleges.

This year, the competition witnessed the participation of 26 teams from different educational institutions, with 14 teams qualifying to represent their colleges and universities. These qualified teams competed for four prestigious prizes: the team with the highest revenues, the team with the most significant influence on society, the team with the most creative project, and the team with the most professional execution.

Shaza bint Abbas, a member of the Dar Al Atta'a Association, delivered the organization's speech, providing an overview of its charitable work and march.

Additionally, a video presentation detailing the stages of the competition was screened, along with other presentations highlighting the activities of Dar Al Atta'a and the contributions of its members.
