Salalah: Today marked the beginning of a two-day conference titled "The Future of Logistics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)" at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. This event is organized by the National Academy for Training and Development in partnership with the Dhofar branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The conference agenda included three presentations. The first was named "Modern Technologies in the Logistics Sector," the second addressed "Artificial Intelligence in the Logistics Sector," and the third examined "Modern Services at the Salalah Free Zone."
Additionally, two panel discussions took place, focusing on integrated operations within the logistics sector and the digital transformation of supply chains, emphasizing AI, digital systems, and logistics frameworks.
On the second day, the program will feature two workshops: "The Contribution of AI to Managerial Decision-Making in Supply Chains" and "Leading the Future: AI in the Service of Institutions."
The conference's objective is to underscore the significance of AI in enhancing the efficiency of supply chains and transportation, fostering sustainability, and supporting Oman Vision 2040 through a crucial sector for economic diversification. It also aims to promote the exchange of knowledge between the public and private sectors and identify opportunities for collaborative efforts.
