CDAA Affirms Its Readiness For Khareef Dhofar 2025

Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has announced its readiness to offer services to nationals, expatriates, and visitors throughout the 2025 Khareef Dhofar season.

The Authority has said that it has approved its seasonal operational plans, which include reinforcing current centers and establishing new ones along the roads to Dhofar Governorate in Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, and Al Wusta, to respond promptly to alerts received via the Operations Center and Civil Defense and Ambulance Centers in the governorates.

The Authority urged institutions, businesses, and property owners to comply with safety and civil protection regulations by performing essential maintenance on their properties and adopting preventive actions to help reduce accidents.

The Authority will also ramp up its oversight activities by visiting facilities, identifying breaches, and taking suitable legal action against offenders.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority strives to raise awareness among all segments of society through its official social media platforms, various media outlets, and other methods, such as distributing awareness pamphlets, organizing events, and field teams that offer awareness and guidance in a variety of places. The Authority appreciates the media's significant contribution to fostering a prevention culture.

The Authority encourages visitors to the Khareef season to follow safety precautions while visiting Dhofar Governorate and to prepare properly for their trip by maintaining their vehicle, packing a first aid kit, ensuring the fire extinguisher is operational, identifying rest stops and fuel stations along the route, choosing the right time to travel, and stopping to rest when tired or fatigued. It also emphasizes the importance of following traffic safety regulations.

The Authority also underlined the necessity of adhering to safety rules while visiting Dhofar Governorate, as well as avoiding swimming in unapproved areas such as springs, pools, and beaches, due to the risk of sea currents and high waves during the fall season. It also emphasized the importance of avoiding risky places such as waterfalls and highlands, supervising children, and not leaving them alone in cars to guarantee everyone's safety.
