New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for the Class X and XII board examinations for the academic year 2025, with the examinations set to commence on February 15, 2025.
The comprehensive date schedule has been made available on the official CBSE website, and the examinations are scheduled to begin at 10:30 am on all days.
In a statement, the CBSE clarified, "The date sheet for the examinations scheduled from February 15, 2025, has been meticulously prepared. To ensure that there is a sufficient gap between the two subjects most commonly offered by students in both classes, a careful consideration has been given to the scheduling."
According to the announced schedule, the examinations for the CBSE Secondary School Examination 2025 are to start on February 15 and conclude on March 18, 2025. The Science examination is scheduled for February 20, 2025, spanning from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while the Social Science (087) examination is to be held on February 25, 2025.
The Mathematics examination is planned for March 10, and the Hindi examination is scheduled for February 28.

The chemistry examination is set for February 27, 2025, and the Business Studies examination is scheduled for February 22.
Furthermore, the Geography examination is to be conducted on February 24.
Emphasizing the thorough planning, the CBSE noted, "The date sheet has been meticulously prepared to avoid scheduling more than 40,000 subject combinations, ensuring that no two exams chosen by a student fall on the same date."
This year marks the first time that the date sheets have been issued nearly 86 days prior to the commencement of the examinations. The CBSE highlighted, "This year's release is 23 days earlier than in previous years, made possible by the timely submission of the List of Credentialed Examination Centres (LOC) by schools."
The board has also pointed out the benefits of issuing the date sheets in advance, stating, "The early release of date sheets allows students to commence their preparations well in advance, thereby reducing examination-related stress and enhancing their performance. It also enables families and teachers to plan their schedules more effectively, including summer vacations and evaluation tasks, without interrupting the academic studies of non-board classes. Additionally, schools, especially those serving as examination centres, will have sufficient time to organize their academic activities in a manner that benefits all stakeholders."
