Muscat: The newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Oman has pledged full support to the Bangladesh Social Club for the benefit of the community.
Recently, Sirajul Haque, Chairman of the Bangladesh Social Club in Oman, along with Vice Chairman Azimul Haque Babul, met with Rear Admiral Khondaker Misbah ul Azim, the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Oman, to convey their greetings on behalf of the club.
During their discussion, they addressed various matters concerning the interests of the Bangladeshi community in Oman. As the social club is recognized by the Omani government, it is essential for all expatriates to contribute to the establishment of a non-political organization that serves all community members.
The club representatives provided comprehensive insights into the opportunities available to expatriates, as well as the social, cultural, and economic status of the Bangladeshi community in Oman. The community is distinguished by its commitment to social engagement and humanitarian efforts. Both Bangladesh and Oman significantly contribute to the cultural and traditional development of each other, garnering interest from local residents.
During the meeting, the representatives outlined the club's activities and future initiatives while also bringing attention to the challenges faced by expatriates, requesting the embassy's assistance in addressing these issues.
The ambassador has committed to offering support for the welfare of the community.
