Bahla Equestrian Festival Brings Together Riders From Different Governorates Of Oman

Bahla: Today marked the 4th edition of the Bahla Equestrian Festival, hosted in the city of Bahla. This event was organized by the Bahla Equestrian Society in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of A’Dakhiliyah, attracting a significant number of riders from various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman.

Sheikh Hilal Said Al Hajri, the Governor of A'Dakhiliyah, emphasized that the Bahla Equestrian Festival plays a vital role in preserving Omani heritage and showcasing the importance of equestrian events in strengthening the nation’s cultural identity.

The festival included traditional horse displays, such as Al Ardha (a customary horsemanship practice), along with competitions for children designed to promote the culture of horsemanship among younger generations.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Eng. Hamad Ali Al Nazwani, Undersecretary for Housing at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
