ASMED Organises Dialogue Session On Opportunities For SMEs In Financing

Muscat: On Wednesday, the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) hosted a conversation on how to increase prospects for small and medium-sized firms (SMEs) in the financial services industry.

The discussion was part of ASMED's attempts to improve the commercial climate for SMEs and boost their contribution to the development of financial services by generating new ideas and increasing operational efficiency.

The conversation session also looked at ways to foster government-private sector partnerships and collaboration with SMEs, as well as to increase public awareness of the SME sector's significance as a crucial contributor to the national economy.

The session focused on regulations, laws, licensing, and enablers that encourage SMEs to provide unique solutions and build collaborations in the financial services business.

Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, CEO of the Financial Services Authority, Halima Rashid Al Zar'ai, Chairman of the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED), government representatives, and SME entrepreneurs attended the discussion.
