Annual Camel Races For The Season Kick Off In Al Dakhiliyah

Muscat: The inaugural phase of the annual local camel races for the 2024/2025 season commenced today at the Al-Bashir Camel Race Track within the Wilayat of Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and is scheduled to last for three days.

Today's event featured the initiation of 18 rounds for the category of Hajjaj, encompassing 12 rounds for young camels and 6 rounds for Jaadans over a distance of 3 kilometers. Approximately 650 camels and Jaadans from various governorates within the Sultanate of Oman participated in these rounds.

The results of the competition are as follows: In the inaugural round, /Tamweel/ was declared the winner, owned by Imad Al-Junaibi. The second round saw /Shaheen/ emerge victorious, owned by Badr Al-Junaibi. In the third round, /Malfat/ claimed the top spot, owned by Saeed Al-Jahhafi. The fourth round was won by /Midhiyar/, owned by Muslim Al-Durai. /Tharwa/, owned by Nasser Al-Durai, took the lead in the fifth round. /Ghazi/, owned by Nasser Al-Durai, secured the first position in the sixth round. In the seventh round, /Al-Reef/, owned by Saeed Al-Wahaibi, emerged as the champion. The eighth round was won by /Al-Dhabi/, owned by Saud Al-Amri.

In the ninth round, /Mublash/, owned by Saeed Al-Jahhafi, was declared the winner. The tenth round saw /Wujud/, owned by Hamoud Al-Jahhafi, take the lead. In the eleventh round, /Syouf/, owned by Saeed Al-Wahaibi, emerged victorious. The twelfth round was won by /Hattash/, owned by Nasser Al-Ghaithi. In the thirteenth round, /Souf/, owned by Saeed Al-Wahaibi, claimed the top spot.

In the fourteenth round, /Dhakhira/, owned by Salem Al-Awisi, was declared the champion. The fifteenth round saw /Munawar/, owned by Ghaleb Al-Duwaiki, emerge as the winner. In the sixteenth round, /Inzar/, owned by Al-Badi Al-Harsosi, took the lead. The seventeenth round was won by /Al-Shaheeniya/, owned by Ibrahim Al-Junaibi. In the eighteenth round, /Shart/, owned by Mabkhout bin Ahmed Saeed, was declared the champion.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the second day of the Al-Bashara races in Adam State will see the continuation of the local camel races with 12 rounds for the Al-Laqaya category over a distance of 4 kilometers.
