Muscat: According to the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, it has been determined that the 22nd and 23rd of November 2023, which fall on Wednesday and Thursday, will be designated as official holidays for employees in the State's Administrative Apparatus (public sector), as well as other legal entities and private sector establishments, in celebration of the 53rd Glorious National Day.
In an official statement released today, the Ministry of Labor stated that employers have the option to reach an agreement with their employees to continue working on the aforementioned two days, if it is deemed necessary. However, in such cases, the workers must be appropriately compensated for their efforts.
