Muscat: As part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' continuous efforts to facilitate the return of Omani citizens from abroad, the second phase of an organised repatriation plan has been successfully implemented in coordination with the Sultanate of Oman's Embassy in Tehran.

This most recent phase resulted in the safe return of 123 Omani nationals via Bandar Abbas, following thorough coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure their safety and efficient travel operations. Additionally, ten coaches were sent to carry residents from the northern areas of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the border with the Republic of Turkey.

Three additional coaches were sent to the Shalamcheh border crossing with the Republic of Iraq, expecting cooperative evacuation with neighboring nations.

The Ministry thanked the Iranian authorities for their cooperation and reiterated its commitment to continuous efforts to ensure the safe and orderly return of all Omani citizens to their homeland.
