Woman Arrested In Oman For Human Trafficking

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has reported the arrest of a woman accused of human trafficking, as well as eight others for engaging in unlawful behavior.

The Governorate of Muscat's Police Command detained a Chinese woman on suspicion of human trafficking, as well as eight Thai women for engaging in immoral behavior and breaching public decency. The ROP said that legal procedures were being finished.

In another case, Coast Guard Police Command, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, arrested a Pakistani national in the Wilayat of Quriyat with over 90 kg of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, hashish, and large quantities of psychotropic pills intended for trafficking. Legal procedures are ongoing against him.
