Trump Warns Medvedev To "Watch His Words," Calls Him "Failed Former President Of Russia"

Trump Warns Medvedev To

Washington: According to The Hill, US President Donald Trump warned former Russian President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to watch his words after the latter slammed Trump's foreign policy.

I don't care what India does with Russia, Trump said on Truth. Social. For all I care, they can bring their dead economies down together. We conduct very little trade with India because their tariffs are exorbitant, among the highest in the world.

Similarly, Russia and the United States conduct very little trade together. Let us keep it that way and advise Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia who believes he is still President, to mind his remarks. He is entering very hazardous area! the president stated.

Since returning to office in January, Trump and his government have pressed for an end to the more than three-year conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with limited success. The president has expressed displeasure with both sides for failing to reach a ceasefire agreement, despite numerous rounds of peace negotiations.

Earlier this month, he set a 50-day deadline for the two countries to reach an agreement, warning Russia and its allies, including India, with more sanctions.

Trump upped the heat on Wednesday, saying that he would slap a 25% tariff on India as a punishment for acquiring Russian military gear and gas. According to The Hill, he also hinted that he may cut the deadline for the Kremlin to negotiate a peace settlement and stop its attack on Ukraine, which has mostly agreed with ceasefire ideas.

According to The Hill, the president told British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a sitdown meeting in Scotland on Monday that he might begin enforcing penalties on Russia in around 10 or 12 days.

In response, Medvedev chastised Trump for playing the ultimatum game.

Trump is playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10... He should keep in mind two things: First, Russia is neither Israel nor Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step toward battle, according to Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, who posted on the social platform X. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but within his own country.

Don't go down the Sleepy Joe road! he urged, using Trump's moniker for former Vice President Biden.
