Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science has today revealed the names of the recipients of the 11th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts, and Literature.
This edition of the award has been exclusively reserved for Omani nationals.
The selection of winners was announced during a press conference today, presided over by Habib Mohammed Al Riyami, the Head of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.
The award for the "Radio Programs - Arts" category was won by the podcast "Witness Beyond the Ordinary," hosted by Ahmed Salim Al Kalbani.
In the "Literature" category, the poetry collection "Maqamat Zulaykha" by poet Shamsa Abdullah Al Nu’mani was recognized with the award.
Conversely, the award was not presented in the "Studies in the Omani Environment - Culture" category.
The Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts, and Literature was inaugurated through Royal Decree No. 18/2011.
