Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science held a press conference yesterday to announce the winners of the 32nd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition.
The top winners in each category are as follows: Younis Abdullah Al Majfrifi secured first place in Level 1 for memorizing the entire Holy Quran; Ibrahim Said Al Sawafi won Level 2 for memorizing 24 consecutive sections; Mohammed Khalfan Al Ghuzaili took first in Level 3 for memorizing 18 consecutive sections; Maisam Ahmed Al Habsi excelled in Level 4 with 12 consecutive sections; Jinan Yaqoub Al Shabibi achieved first in Level 5 for memorizing 6 consecutive sections; Said Salim Al Wahaibi won Level 6 for memorizing 4 consecutive sections; and Wid Khalid Al Maamari finished first in Level 7 for memorizing 2 consecutive sections.
This competition aims to inspire Omanis to memorize the Holy Quran and follow its teachings, while also promoting Oman's participation in international Qur’anic competitions.
