A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited key development projects and health initiatives today, including the Snaibi’ Health Village located in the Wilayat of Al Awabi, South Al Batinah Governorate. The purpose of the visit was to engage the community in discussions on effective methods to support and implement these initiatives in a way that aligns with the local social context.
The WHO team met with members of the Village Development Committee to explore strategies for enhancing the quality of these initiatives in accordance with the sustainable development goals and the strategic plans of the World Health Organization.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Planning and Health Regulation at the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Jean Yacoub Jabbour, WHO Representative in the Sultanate of Oman. The visit also featured a visual presentation highlighting the developmental efforts undertaken by Snaibi’ Health Village over recent years, with the total cost of initiatives surpassing RO 100,000. Additionally, an exhibition was organized alongside the visit to display the notable handicrafts produced by the villagers.a
