Muscat: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) commenced the second installment of a forum entitled “Universities of the Future in the Era of Digital Transition and Artificial Intelligence (AI)”.
This two-day event is designed to bring together government institutions and higher education bodies in their collective efforts to drive digital transition initiatives, augment individual capabilities, and disseminate knowledge.
The proceedings were conducted under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
The forum's objective is to foster the development of innovative technical solutions that contribute to the enhancement of business management, tackle challenges, and facilitate institutional transformation.
The event is graced by the presence of 35 specialists from both within and beyond the Sultanate of Oman. It features a variety of dialogue sessions and specialized workshops aimed at enriching understanding and the application of digital technologies within the educational sector. Additionally, it will examine the principal challenges and opportunities associated with the integration of modern technologies within university settings.
An exhibition will be held adjacent to the forum, which will display samples of student innovations and models developed by leading entities in the educational technology sector.
