The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation's Unified Admission Centre in Muscat has announced that the results of the first screening for the Academic Year 2024/2025 will be released on the evening of Thursday, 4 July.
Nada bint Mohammed Al Kiyomi, Director of the Department of Admission at the Unified Admission Centre, stated that over 24,500 seats will be available for the 47,917 students who registered during the registration period, which ended on 1 June. Some modules required admission tests, personal interviews, or medical examinations.
The sorting process will not include these procedures, but they will be conducted after the announcement of the general education diploma results.
This initial sorting is based on students' marks in the first semester. Al Kiyomi mentioned that 2,611 students with grades of 80% and above did not receive study offers due to the limited number of module options they registered for. Among them, 1,126 students registered for less than 20 modules, which may hinder their chances of securing study seats in the final screening.
Students are advised to add more modules to fulfill the terms and conditions and adjust their interests accordingly.
Additionally, 3,517 students who did not pass the first semester failed to register their module choices. They must add their modules according to the unified admission system's guidelines during the period for changing interests, regardless of their current results.
