UNICEF Oman Embarks On A New Era Of Child-Centric Development

Muscat: UNICEF Oman is in the process of formulating its new Country Programme Document (CPD) for the period of 2026-2030, in partnership with essential government entities, leaders from the private sector, civil society organizations, and children. This CPD is designed to align with national priorities and aims to foster a brighter future for every child in Oman.

To kick off this initiative, UNICEF Oman, in collaboration with the Omani Foreign Ministry, organized a high-level government meeting, graciously hosted by H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry. The meeting gathered senior officials from various ministries, including those responsible for Social Development, Health, Education, Finance, Economy, Endowment and Religious Affairs, Social Protection Funds, and the Omani Human Rights Commission.

This significant meeting, along with a series of bilateral discussions with cross-sectoral partners and the visit from the Regional Director, marks a pivotal moment in UNICEF's ongoing partnership with the Government of Oman and its collaborators. The shared objective is to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities that affect children and families throughout the Sultanate, thereby fostering a nurturing environment where all children can flourish and contribute to the nation's enduring prosperity.
