UNFPA Calls For Immediate Ceasefire In Gaza

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has urged for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression since 7 October 2023.

The UNFPA is working tirelessly with partners to address the increasing needs of women and girls during the hostilities in Gaza. However, in order to continue providing life-saving support, a ceasefire is urgently needed.

Additionally, the UNFPA has called for unimpeded and safe access to deliver essential aid to those in need in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces have persisted in their aggression against the Gaza Strip through land, sea, and air, resulting in the deaths of over 38,193 citizens, with the majority being women and children, and the injury of more than 87,903 others. The situation has led to an immeasurable toll, with thousands of victims still trapped under the rubble.
