Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced a partial traffic closure scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2025, in conjunction with the Muscat Classic stage of the Tour of Oman 2025.
Parking will be restricted on both sides of the roads along the designated race route. The event will kick off at 11:50 am from Al Mouj Muscat, proceeding towards Seeb Corniche Road and continuing to Al Mabela Bridge. At the South Al Mabela traffic lights, located near Al Qabayel Center, the route will make a left turn, followed by a right turn at the Al Nuzha roundabout onto Muscat Expressway.
Subsequently, the race will turn left onto the Rusayl-Nizwa road and continue along Rusayl-Bausher Road, passing through Falaj Al Sham, Al Ansab, and Ghala village before arriving at Al Amerat via Al Jabal Road. The route will then take a left at Al Mahaj junction towards Wadi Adai, followed by a right turn to Al Hamriyah, a left to Qantab via Yiti Hills, and loop back to the Al Bustan roundabout, turning left to Al Hamriyah once more. Finally, the route will turn right towards Yeti, then left to Qantab, concluding with a left turn at the Al Bustan roundabout towards Sidab, finishing in front of the Council of Oman.
The ROP has urged motorists to adjust their travel plans accordingly and be prepared for possible traffic delays during the event.
