Cristiano Ronaldo Renews Al Nassr Deal Till 2027

Riyadh: Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary striker, has extended his contract with Saudi powerhouse Al Nassr until 2027, prolonging his stay in the Saudi Pro League, ESPN reported on Thursday.

Ronaldo announced on X, "A new chapter begins. " Same passion, same dream. Let's make history together.

Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with Al Nassr until 2027. The superstar footballer joined the Club in 2022, following the that year's World Cup, and departed Manchester United as a free agent. His contract was for two and a half years.

He has scored 93 goals in 105 appearances for the club in all competitions. The agreement made him the highest-paid athlete in the world, and he has topped the list for the past three years, according to Forbes.

Ronaldo's total earnings are expected to be about $275 million at the age of 40.

Displaying no indications of age or deterioration, he guided Portugal to the UEFA Nations League championship last month, overcoming Spain in the final.

With 932 goals scored so far, he is also attempting to reach 1,000 goals. At the club level, he has 794 goals, and he has 138 for Portugal.

Despite winning the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al Nassr, Ronaldo has yet to capture the SPL title, as the team finished second in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and third in the 2024-25 season.

The club's sporting director, Fernando Hierro, stated in May that they were eager to have the superstar sign a new contract and even hinted that they would face competition from other clubs for the veteran's services once more.

His comments came after Ronaldo suggested that the season finale against AlFateh would be his final game for the club.
