AlKamil W'alWafi - Acting in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has today opened traffic on a new section of the Sultan Turki bin Said dual carriageway (Phase II, Part II). This 9km stretch runs from the Wilayat of AlKamil W'alWafi to the Wilayat of Sur.
Muneer Ahmed Al Alawi, Director of the Roads Department for South A'Sharqiyah Governorate, informed the Oman News Agency (ONA) that the new section of road has three lanes in each way.
Al Alawi stated that all traffic safety precautions, such as iron barriers, traffic signs, roadside support structures, and tunnel crossings, have been installed along the road to improve the safety of road users.
