Muscat: Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, the spouse of the Sultan of Oman, along with Intisar el Sisi, the spouse of the Egyptian President, visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) on Sunday.
During their visit, they explored the ROHM building, recognized as a significant symbol of Omani civilization and artistry, and admired its architectural design, which draws inspiration from Omani heritage.
The two dignitaries were informed about the House’s initiatives and goals, which focus on fostering global connections through music.
They also toured the House of Musical Arts, where they examined the displays in the "Oman and the World" exhibition of musical arts. This exhibition features a variety of artistic artifacts, musical instruments, opera costumes, and a musical library containing rare books and manuscripts.
It is noteworthy that ROHM will host a special festival in the upcoming 2025 season to honor the renowned 20th-century Egyptian singer, actor, and composer Mohamed Abdul Wahab, showcasing significant moments from his life and artistic contributions. This event is part of a broader series of programs designed to celebrate Egyptian art and musical legends.
