The project is currently 91% complete, he added. Additionally, Salalah Mills Company is progressing with the Food Industries Centre Project at Khazaen Economic City, which has an estimated budget of OMR 18.5 million and aims for a production capacity of 1.4 million units per day in its initial phase.
Operations are anticipated to commence by the end of this year.
Other initiatives include the construction of wheat silos at Sohar Port, which will enhance grain storage capacity to 160,000 tonnes, he mentioned.
Furthermore, he pointed out the expansion of the fodder factory operated by Oman Mills Company in Muttrah, which is designed to strengthen food security and enhance production chain integration. The factory's expansion will increase its fodder production capacity to 20 tonnes.
