Schools To Be Closed Across Parts Of Oman, Online Classes To Be Held

Muscat: In light of the prevailing tropical weather conditions, the authorities in Oman have declared the initiation of distance education across all tertiary education institutions and both public and private educational establishments. This decision was made public on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

The Oman News Agency (ONA) has officially endorsed this initiative in a press release, emphasizing that the implementation will be rolled out in various governorates, including Muscat, North and South Al Sharqiyah, Ad Dakhiliyah, South and North Al Batinah, as well as the hilly terrains of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah.

This strategic move is intended to safeguard the well-being of both students and faculty members, as the impacts of the tropical storm continue to be felt in these areas.
